Duncey post-mortem
- Did anyone identify with Ignatius, or any of the characters? I mean a lot of them were pretty big caricatures, but they all kind of have problems and qualities that normal people face on a smaller scale. Ignatius retreats into his own world when he comes across hardships. His mom has to deal with a big child - and has no idea how to help him. Mancuso feels and acts like a fool. Man, this is sounding kind of sad. Is this a reflection of how I feel?
- I’ve historically hated childish characters. I hated Catcher in the Rye for this reason, and Ignatius was frustrating for similar reasons.
- From the covers of the books I had seen, I really secretly wished he had a big bird sidekick. I was sad that he didn’t :(
- I would have really liked to read more about the the college professor.
- Umm, Mrs. Levy? Problems…? Mommy problems?
- More about George! Also, Jones!
- I didn’t like the way it ended, but I guess it was appropriate for the book… but no spoilers! :)

When Fortuna spins you downward, go out to a movie and get more out of life.

“And now for the most important question: Team Gale or Team Peeta?”
Team Gale: 3 (Crystal, Tiffany, David)
Team Peeta: 1 (Curtis)
Very intellectual discussion, indeed.

on the hunger games trilogy
Suzanne Collins is a french fry.
Her writing is very plot-driven and the books are definitely addicting but ultimately there’s not too much substance. So when you finally emerge after days of nonstop reading, you still feel empty (or hungry, womp womp). Empty calories.

Puns galore. Should the title of this blog be “Kindlegarten” or “Kindlegarden”?
